I have been trying to find a good load for the 110 grain acubond in 3 different rifles2. Twof of them are .257 roberts , and 1 is a 25,06.
All these rifles (and the shooter) have been proven to shoot well with other bullets.
Balistic tips and partitions tripple shocks and lots of standard speers and hornady bullets shoot prety darn well,
but I can't get the acubond to group up to my standards unless i shoot them way slow, like 2550 or so.
I just loaded up 10 of them to shoot in a custom springfield in the Roberts. I used the load from the published data that shows most acuracy.
42 grains V-N160 in a winchester case with a fed 210M primer.
I would like to make this my mule deer bullet but I must get moa and at least 2900 FPS.
If someone thinks I am asking to much.
This rifle squirts the 100 grain tsx out at 3140 and gets about .30 to .60 MOA. (46 grains of H-414).
But I want to try the acubond on mulies. Is the bullet a little long ? mabye I need a faster twist.
Anybody have an Idea.
I bet I have used up 350 of these so far...tjRoberts.
