Sure have. Work up towards 50 grains of Reloader 15. It's as accurate as a match bullet and will get you a good 3,000 fps or more... I have not personally shot a deer with it, but know of several who have, with good results.
Accurate, easy recoil, very good velocity. Nosler also lists some good loads with that bullet, some up in the neighborhood of 3200 fps... Puts a whole new spin on the sturdy little .308 Win.
I have loaded this bullet in both the 308, 30-06, and 300 WSM (just for fun). I loaned a friend the 308 and he shot a button buck with it at 90 yards. He said it pulled lung tissue out the exit hole with it.
I shot a buck with it two years ago from the '06 at 105 yds and it punched through him and he left a blood trail that looked like it was made with a paint roller.
Didn't shoot anything with the 300 WSM but it made really small groups on paper. As Guy said, very accurate too.
The same aforementioned friend borrowed my 300 Win Mag and loaded some which he used to shoot a doe with. He said the damage was impressive and so was the accuracy.
It should be noted that in the cases of the three deer I know of that were shot with this bullet, care was taken to put it behind the shoulder, not through it. I'm not sure how well it would hold up if heavy bone was encountered.
Ron, I think there are some bullet tests in our bullet test sections and it looked like some guys shot it through a 30-06 at 3200. Held up pretty well from what I recall as well.
I have had good luck with RL15 and Varget with the 125 Sierra Pro Hunters. I imagine the BT's would be more betterrrrr!
Thanks for the feedback. I read so many manuals that have to many choices. I like to talk to people who have some hands on. I use the 308VTR and Spfd M1A for shooting praire rats in ND.
So I started loading .223 in March and now am starting on the .308s for our first trip in June. This is the first time I am going to use the Green tip BT.
Thanks Again

There are more fragile .308 bullets that might be better for varmints. The 125 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip is actually intended for deer size game and is surprisingly tough.
I've had great success with both the .308 Win and the .30-06 with 110 gr hollow point Sierras, and 130 gr hollow point Speer varmint bullets. Hornady makes a 110 gr V-Max bullet that also works great on rock chucks.
I shot quite a few 125NBT's, Sierra 125 spitzers, and Speer 130gr hollow points out of my .308 for rock chucks. The BT's were tougher then the others but they still did a number on chucks. A friend of mine shot a small buck with one starting at 4000fps and it worked quite well despite the starting velocity.
Here is a load that has shot great in a number of peoples rifles that I have loaded for. The 125 BT is a Game bullet not a Varmint bullet. I use this load for WT deer and it drops them in their tracks.
46 grs IMR 4895. WW case, CCI BR-2 primer, This runs 3000 fps in my rifle. If you want to vaporize varmints get you some Speer 125 TNT HP bullets and use the above load. The really come apart.
