I remember someone posting a load in the .264 Win with the 125gr and Retumbo. I have tried searching it and haven't found it. Anybody remember what it is? reflex264

I would like to hear it as well. I ran the 130 AB, 140 PT and 140 AB with Retumbo. So far it has been excellent. I can't wait to work with the 140 AB a little more on the range. I am thinking the 140 AB around 3100 should be an awesome set up. Scotty

Hodgdon goes up to 67.5 gr Retumbo with a 129 Hornady you should be able to work up to there with the 125 gr Partition. I worked up to 67 gr with the 130 gr AccuBond and got some decent groups, don't think I chronographed them though.

Never used Retumbo but I did use RL 25.

67 gr of it gave me 3350 fps in my 264 Super grade with the 125gr and .55" all day long.

Have you found any loads yet? pm sent

I haven't shot the 140's yet in the 264 in a dedicated load work up. I have ran Retumbo and 130 AB. Those come out around 3350 and are pretty accurate.

For me, the 140's are where it is at for the 264. I am hoping for something good to come out of it.

I tried rl25, and never got good groups- I'm using ramshot magnum and its ok-I have just heard retumbo mentioned on here with the 264 before and thought I might pick up some and try it.

I have a 27 3/4" barrel on my 264 Win mag and am running 66.5 grs Retumbo with the 130 Nosler AccuBond, WW case reformed from 7mm Rem mag with CCI 250 primers OAL 3.440 and am getting 3350 fps and well under 1/2 MOA accuracy. I have killed 6 deer with this combo and I have nothing but praise for the combo.

Hodgdon manual list max load of Retumbo with 120 gr bullets 70.5 grs and with 129 gr bullet max load is 67.5 grs. Do the math for your 125 gr bullet.

Right now, Retumbo is king in my 264 till something else proves otherwise. I have a 26" tube and seem to get excellent speed and accuracy out of mine.

I am looking forward to the 140 AB's, should be the best blend of penetration and speed between the two others.

Scotty,

Those are smokin loads. With the accuracy of the 140 gr PT, I would call it good and never look back.

I'm working the 140 AB's Jim. Best of both. Long and lean...

Going to try and get the 264 out a little today and see what it does. Looking forward to doing a little work with it. It is the most neglected rifle out of the safe at this point.

I'm definitely going to buy some retumbo- I have a good supply of 125 &140 part and some 130 ab's.

My 264 rifle is the rem 700 se cdl w/26" barrel.

Retumbo and RL25 are running about neck and neck. Need to refine it some, but I think it'll come around..
