It,s a great bullet and worth the time. I think it would be the cats meow in the WSM. You should try it Scotty.

That's great news.

I think your right about it being a great bullet, Mike is smashing moose and elk to the ground with his 270WSM and 130ET's.. Maybe I am missing the boat?

If I see some as 2nds I think I may grab some and see what they do in the little WSM..

The 130 grain E-Tip is certainly serving me well in my 270 WSM, Scotty. I really like the way that bullet works.

I know Mike. You are really impressing me with that bullet. I guess I have such a good load for the 150PT I am scared to try much else. Plus, I have about 150 of the 150PT Golds that shoot really well too..

Nothing wrong with the 150s, especially those 150 Partition Golds. It will drop about anything. I'm pleased with the 130 grain E-Tip, however. I can see that it would serve very well in the 270 Win, as well.

I have a bunch of them Mike. Really wanna plant one in an elk if I can. Or maybe Brandon runs it for his first elk!

Thanks for the welcome Hubcap and DrMike. Glad to hear your results were positive Hubcap. I noticed you were able to reach a powder charge of 1 grain over max with H4350. Were you able to reach max loads with both 4831's and 7828? I was planning on starting three grains below max and slowly working my way up.

The only powder I went one grain over listed max was with IMR-4350. I did that with a ladder test only. My initial groups with IMR-4350 were all shot with 55.2 grains. I have not had any pressure signs at all with 4350. However I do believe the slower powders will get better velocity and accuracy with listed max charges. Still need to set up the chrony and check the speeds with those powders. As I collect more data I will be happy to post more info.
