140 Accubond data for 280

I can meet you half way. I use the 140 Accubonds for my 280 but with H-4831. 57 gns will get you right about 3000 out of a barrel that is 22-24". But be advised this is a little higher than the Nosler Reloading guide recommends so start low.

You know I was afraid you'd say that..I seen that 4831 works real well in the Nosler manual. I have always used 57.0 GR of RL-19. It clocks around 2900, and is one hole accurate in my old A-Bolt 1. 22 Inch barrel limits me a little..this caliber wants a 24 inch, but they are hard to find. Thanks for the heads up. Now I gotta go to the store and get some 4831...man, these forums are expensive!!

What sort of groups do you get with your rifle, and just what rifle are you shooting? I got a too short Browning A-bolt with a 22 inch tube...horrible over the chrony, but it works good despite the numbers..

My 280 is a Sako Hunter with the barrel just under 23". The groups are consistently a smidge under .600 at 100 yds.

Consistency is the key I think. I just got a HS Precision stock for my new Rem CDL Whelen. It's the aluminum bedded version. I hope it shoots as well as it looks.

MagMaster,

I have been using 57.0 grs of RL19 for the 140 gr PT, BT and now AB in my M700 Classic 280 Rem. I don't own a cronograph but my guess is that MV is 2900+. I am getting sub .75" groups with the two range sessions I have had with this load.
