Hello, gang. I was gifted some various bullets by my uncle who was downsizing his reloading supply cabinet. One of the things he gave me was about 150 of the 140gr Partitions in 6.5 caliber. He used them in a .264 Win Mag, but my use would be in a 6.5 CM. Anyone here loading and using them in the CM, in place of the "sexier" bullets that are all the rage today? What are your favorite loads and results?

Thanks,
Brian

You have a very generous uncle. If you are already loading a different 140 gr bullet and get good results that's a good place to start.

I'm not sure never checked it. I actually got this load from my boss man. She was having good success with the hornady sst loads in the 6.5cm and when ammo got scarce a few years back all I could find was the 143gr eldx bullets and that's where it all went down hill. No deer she has ever shot with the 143gr eldx bullets ever left a blood trail so I bought the stuff to start hand loading my own and we've never had that problem since. When I told him about the eldx bullets not leaving a good blood trail he told me about this load and I had some extra money at the time and jumped into reloading and best decision I ever made

I ended up winning a 6mm ARC Ruger american gen 2 on a raffle the other day and I found some brass and 90gr 6mm accubonds on Raven Rocks Precision on sale so I'm gonna try and work up a load for them in the coming weeks for the kids to deer hunt with. I bought 500 6mm 90gr accubonds for like $183 or $189, pretty good price

A chrono is worth its weight in gold for reloading. I can't say enough good things about my Garmin unit, and I'm sure the Athlon unit is good, as well. If you don't already have a chrono, those things are the ticket.
