I have a 280AI M70 with 24" 1:8-1/2" twist barrel. Have a box of 150 ABLRs. would like to try these out, but before I start burning components and time I thought to inquire here about experiences and suggestions from you all.

The 150 ABLR is my go to bullet in my 280 AI.
I'm getting 3100 fps and sub .5 MOA out to 800 yards. I've taken several WT deer with this combo and not 1 deer has taken a step, all DRT.
I'm running these with RL 22 and Federal GM215M primers.

I’ve had very good success with the 150 ablr BUT it’s in a 7mm-08 at 2750 fps using rl-17, r-p brass and fed 215 m primers. This is the load that is the best and most consistent for me.
I’ve tinkered with this load to death-different powders. Seating depths, Nickel cases, nosler brass etc
The bullet is effective and has worked great
For me and my kids on mtn goat, mule
deer and whitetails mostly.
I am taking this load and rifle to South Africa in a couple weeks and will match this system to the size antelope we will be hunting.IMG_8448.jpegIMG_4652.jpeg
Not exactly what you were asking about, hope there is some info to work with-

I've tried the 150 gr. ABLR in three 7x57 rifles and one .280 Rem. So far, at least for me accuracy has been disappointing The 7x57s have run from 1.5" to 1 80" and the .280 averaged about 1.50" For the record all three 7x57s have run at .75" or less with the 150 gr. Partition and the .280 runs right at .50" with the 160 gr. Speer Grand Slam. (The older two core version. I haven't tried the straight cup and core later version yet. One of the 7x57s is a custom rifle with the original 1in 8.6" twist for the caliber. The other two are a 1 in 9.5 and 1 in 10". No idea what the twist rate is in the .280; a custom based on a barreled action I got a dea; on. Seller had no idea of the twist.
The 150 gr. Nosler's are running at 2800 FPS from the 7x57s and the .280 is doing 2910 FPS with the bullets that are shooting well.
