hello.
I am intersted in trying to load some of the 150g accubonds for my 308, a Remington LTR with a 20" barrel

got the gun last week and quickly found a load that does 5 shots that can be covered with a dime with 44.5g of Varget and a Sierra Gameking BTSP, Lapua brass and CCI BR primers

I like the idea of the higher BC and lighter weight of the 150 AB

mainly for deer as I use a 6.8 AR for hogs most of the time, I would certainly wack a hog if the oppurtunity presented itself !

I have Hodgdon and Nosler data in front of me
I would like to think I can get 2900 FPS safely, maybe not...

anyone loading with the same components as I have?

thanks in advance

Charles

2900 might be possible out of a 26" barrel, but that's probably pushing it out of your shorter tube. I've never loaded Varget, but overall, shooters report very good result with your combination of components.

Sounds as if you have good accuracy. I'd focus on that aspect rather than the velocity. Antelope_Sniper has given you a good note of caution. 2900 fps is pushing it with a 20 inch barrel w/o excessive pressure. Your components are fine.

I'm loading 150gr BTs with 49 grains of Varget,Fed 210M primers, and Win brass. That load averaged 2860 with a 20" Rem 700 Tactical. It groups around .4-.5 on my good days. I got flat primers with 49.5.
