280 yard shot, through the neck...was hoping to decapitate him  ...I figured the AccuBond was too tough for that, and it is...lol.

I was a tad low and missed the neck vertebrae...the lil spot you see on his neck is the exit...if I had hit the vertebrae the exit would likely have been a little more dramatic.

I'm not knocking the AccuBond, no sir, not at all...damn good bullet!!! I'm simply passing along experience....the 160 AccuBond was never meant to be a coyote bullet, but it will work in a pinch. (y)

Looks like good pelt to me. Sewing the head back on is time consuming. CL

Lol... Yeah it was a good pelt... I didn't skin it though... I haven't sold a hide in near 25 years I guess.

I have sold some hides though, paid for my first vehicle with fur money... A '73 Jeep CJ5...$700 in 1988.

Paid for with possum, coon, mink, muskrat, and fox hides.

That's when I learned while dynamite on whitetails and other big game the 7mm rem mag just isn't enough gun for coyotes,

I hope it wasn't from a 7 Rem Mag???

by the way, nice shot!

Certainly a handsome yodel dog, Lynn. I need to get out and do some serious predator hunting this winter.

I LOVE the 160 AB. Tough as nails yet expands really well. From slow rifles like the little 7's to the big hugged ones I doubt you'd find much better.
