Found this in the 5th jug.. Tore the first three jugs to shreds.. Hoping to use this one on an animal this year.

Nice, would love to see you bag an elk with one of those this fall.

You and me both Gerry!

Gerry, I tried to grab a 156 Oryx at 3020 but it slipped out of the jugs. I'll get it next time.

It seems the Oryx and Bitterroot's are fairly similar looking at your other tests. I'm sure you will capture a 156 gr Oryx next time.

Pretty close. Little less frontal area and a touch more weight loss but very close.

Excellent weight retention and expansion. Oh, yeah, that will do a number on about any game you should privilege to be killed with it.

They are awesome bullets fella's. I wished that Doc has secured the few he had in Canada.. Can't believe he sold them right from underneath me!

I have some 175 BBC's as well. Plan on trying one or two out once I get the 175 PT load worked out in my Mashburn. Those should be pretty danged good as well.

Yeah, I can't believe I didn't do something with them myself! It was one of those fits of cleaning out the reloading room that got me. The knowledge of that unenforced error is quickly turning me into a hoarder!

Can one still get the BBC?

Web site or listing of bullets and bc?

Occasionally a bag will turn up in old inventory. Otherwise, they are no longer manufactured.

Not really Fotis. There are still some out there for sale once in awhile. They are more the older TBBC's you find for sale once in awhile. I have a small stash of them in a few different calibers, but they weren't/aren't easy to come by.

The last 160 BBC I used on game was a bull elk in Wyoming and from a 7 rem Mag at 3080 mv. Shot was from behind and above at about 200 yards, over the shoulders into the back of the neck. It ground up a lot of muscle and vertebrae for a substantial length of the neck along the way. We found it under the hide on the bull's chin.

Retained weight was over 155 gr as I recall, with substantial frontal area. It works very well.

I am looking forward to trying them. Been a long time coming.

160 7mm BBC from bull elk. Into neck from behind over the withers and traveled up neck. Recovered under chin while caping. 7 Rem Mag at 3080 +- fps. Distance 175-200 yards. Retained weight about 155 gr. Have not weighed it in awhile.
