I had sent an email shortly after Nosler released the E-Tip pleading for a 168 grain offering in 30 cal. I just found out they released one and it has a .503 BC. I cannot wait to try them out in my 06. I just ran the ballistics and it is outstanding. My point blank range is around 300 yards from my tired old 06 and it maintains minimum impact velocity to over 800 yards at my hunting altitude of 10,000ft. Considering it has a nearly identical BC to the 180 grain AccuBond, will outpenetrate the AccuBond and can be lauched faster due to its lighter weight I hope to make this is my new elk round.

Yet they also have new 140gr 7mm. I'm leaving today got a late cow hunt going to try the 150gr E-Tip in my 30-06 be real interesting to see those 165gr.

I do like the E-Tip concept. I'll undoubtedly be ordering some of these and trying them.

This high BC should offset the fact that we can't push it as fast as a regular 168.

I have never loaded any of the e-tips yet. I anticipated higher pressures with a given charge but did not anticipate reduced velocity. I am hoping to push the 168 E tip at the same velocity as the 168 grain ballistic tip.

A friend of mine used the 168 gr E-Tip in his 30-06AI with excellent results on elk and antelope. Both he and his son shot cow elk and a speed goat were quick one shot kills.

I hope you are right, but it hasn't worked that way for may E-tip loads I have seen here. I would like to get the same velocity with that BC, I have a 30-06AI, 308 & 300WM ready to try a new bullet, esp. the 308!!
