I think this bullet should have been a AccuBond, I shot a muledeer with the old 225 bt, and it exploded when it made contact and I am not kidding when I say It left a baseball size exit hole. It was the first and last time I used the BT in my whelen. I use Partitions for bear and elk and 200 rem cl for deer. 180 is lighter so I expect to would explode the same way unless loaded down. I could be wrong about the 180bt-I guess I will have to wait and hear how they do.

The first 4 WT bucks I shot with my 35 Whelen were with the Remington 200 gr PSPCL factory load. I recovered 2 of the bullets. I switched to the 225 gr PT when it was introduced back in 1990 and shot several WT deer and a 250 lb black bear. No matter what the angel, always got an exit wound about the size of a quarter.
