I purchased a box of Accubonds and got ready to load some today. This box of bullets is like none I have ever seen. All were tarnished and many tips laying in the box. Has anyone ever purchased bullets from Nosler like this? I wanted 200's but they were out and Im really sorry I decided to take the 180's

Yes, it happened to me on a box of 200g AB's as well. Some were tarnished and a few w/out any tips.

Call Nosler Monday morning and let them know the problem. They will ask for the lot #, then they will ask for your shipping address and send you a new box free of charge. They'll make it right.

I had some 7mm Accubonds that had tarnished jackets and plastic tips that looked like they were dipped in acid. The plastic was eaten away in an irregular pattern.

I called Nosler and they were promptly replaced. I used the tarnished bullets as barrel foulers. Despite their appearance they still shot reasonably well.

A bad batch of bullets can occasionally get by. It's how a company deals with the problem that matters. Nosler's customer service was very responsive to my complaint and that keeps them #1 with me.

I think the root cause of the problem is the flux used in the core bonding process was not washed off the bullets.
Call Mike Harris, Customer Service Manager at Nosler (800 285 3701) and he will take good care of you.

I had some like that last year, only in 165 grain. I never did call on them, I ended up just shooting them.
