I reloaded some 55 gr Varmageddon bullets in 223 for my AR and had to go .185" off the lands so I could get the round to fit in the mag. I have the balistic tip bullets so maybe if I went with the regular bullet, I could get closer. I hope it is not to far of a jump.

Give them a try, there isn't anything you can do about it. Some guns will shoot fine with that much jump, some wont. My AR shot great with a fair amount of jump, my 338 WM, not so much. you just have to give it a shot. I wouldn't worry about it till you have tried a few powders, and bullet combos. Keep them feeding well and see how they do.

it'll be fine, your hard pressed to hit the lands in an AR unless your single loading.

This target was shot with my RRA varminter, chambered 223 wylde, the wylde is a generously cut 223 chamber with a throat long enough to seat 75/80 gr bullets way out there to shoot singly loaded in long range competetion. the group was shot with ultramax reman 55 gr sp ammo.
