Hi, I got back yesterday afternoon from the 3 day hunting trip. We did not see the Mulies that we have seen in past years but we did manage to get 3 bucks. 
My nephew was unable to make the hunt as his 29 year old brother-in-law past away in his sleep on Oct. 24th 2009.
We went to the funeral this past Friday and then left on Saturday to go hunting. My oldest boy is 29 and I do not know if I could handle him going before me. God sometimes throws us curves.
This hunt was a tough one.
My cousin was with me and he is a barnes and berger man he shoots a 7mm mag. and was using 140gr berger. After watching my hunting partner use his 7mm mag with 160 Accubonds he is finishing up his bullets and switching :wink:
I shot not a bad buck with the 130 partitions in my 270 win, the buck was standing at about 200 yards on a angle I hit him in the left shoulder a little high went through the shoulder and out on the right hand side of the neck. The buck dropped and was dead before he hit the ground.
Once I get photos on the computer I will have to ask someone to give me their email address so I can get them posted.
