I picked up my 300 Win Mag from the gunsmith on Monday. This is the one that was sticking cases in the chamber. I decided to have it re-barreled with a Lilja. I went 27" 4 groove 10 twist. Other stuff I had done; blue print action, Sako extractor, 8-40 Screws, bed recoil lug, & Cerakote.

I had it out to the range and did the barrel break in and then shot this 100 yard 3 shot group which measures .205"

Well, that has to put a grin on your chin! I do believe it is going to shoot!

That is some nice shooting. I had some 7mm 168 ABLR to try out back then, but gave up on it. I should try it once more soon.

I was going to shoot 5 but after seeing that I decided to go for the 1000 yard target. My program miscalculated the drop. It called for 29.25 Minutes, I only needed 25.25. I had 2 hits which definitely made me happy.

That is a great looking rifle and it looks to shoot even better.

Gotta love it when a plan comes together!

Nice group!

Venture forth this season with confidences!

Thanks all, I sure do enjoy the way it all came together. This load only runs 2850 FPS so I have some room to work up.

ONLY 2850.... Man, that should hold onto speed like crazy out at distance. It's actually not far off from where I've chrono'ed a bunch of 180 Factory 300 Win stuff.

I've run some up to near 3000 FPS, given the accuracy I may just leave this alone. These are seated out to 3.515" which is .1" off the lands.
