Took a couple does this year in Wyoming with a 215 Berger out of my .300 Win Mag. MV is 2,991fps and this is my bullet of choice for my .300
Doe number one was at 290 Yards, and she dropped in her tracks. Bullet hit her in she shoulder caliber sized entrance,and exited in front of the off side shoulder, large exit wound. Lungs soup.
The next was shot at 545 yards, bullet entered tight behind the shoulder and exited just behind the shoulder as well. Caliber sized entrance, tennis ball sized exit. Lungs soupx and top of heart gone. I expected her to drop right there but she ran about 60 yards before expiring. I don’t know how she ran but she did, adrenaline I suppose. Massive blood loss.
