I have a 1965 rem700 SA ADL. The Wood stock Cracked through the Action Lug area. I glued it but Accuracy was erratic. The stock was also heavy for a Compact Rifle. I picked up a Recent Synthetic Takeoff ADL from a very Helpful Predator hunter. Trigger had never been touched since it left the factory in 65, So I adjusted it to a crisp hunting let off. No Gage but I'll guess about 3lb. I did not Bed the action due to how the Remington synthetic stock is designed. I felt it was unneeded. Fit was perfect, Which surprised me. 1965 700ADL SA Standard Sporter barrel, fit the 2013 Synthetic stock Like it was custom made for it. Mounted a VXIII 2.5-8x36 in Medium Weaver Rings. Claw Sling. First test at the range with a new load,125gr Nosler Ballistic tip, WW brass, Fed210, 51.5gr W748 OAL 2.780 Shot well for this Rifle.
