Larry, how do you like the Weaver scope? Thought hard about that one before I ended up trading for the Leupold 8X40.

I really like that Weaver scope a lot. It is very crisp and clear and has given me no problems what so ever. I have a Weaver V-16 on my Remington Model 700 SPS Tactical .223 also and really like it as well.

Totally worked over Stevens/Springfield 84c-:
My first rifle, and the one that suffered through most of my self-taught Bubba-izing. Fortunately, it survived. Shortened barrel to 22", dovetails filled, custom bases, Duracoat, trigger lightened, overtravel screw added, trigger sideplay removed. Forearm rounded and reshaped to get rid of ugly checkering experiment.

My grandson is next owner.
