I have had nothing but excellence from my 358Win in performance with 225gr bullets at the range and on game. Using 200gr SS NF, 225gr Sierra and AccuBond I got very good accuracy. I have been trying to nurse out the same accuracy from the 225gr Accubonds that I was getting with the 225gr Sierra SBT. The reason being is that I am able to get 65 - 80fps faster velocities with the Accubonds in my specific rifle with the same charge of powder. I final found the OAL that gives me the same accuracy with the AccuBond as with the Sierra. Both have been very effective on game, but I am so happy to have the AccuBond shooting so well and with very fast velocities but with out pressures. I even got the 200gr North Fork SS to shoot exceptionally well. Great morning at the range indeed.

Excellent results, Mike. I believe that load will do. Velocities are very good.

Yes, this is what I have been searching for out of the AccuBond. I can now rest, I have accomplished all I set out to do with my 358Win as far as accuracy and a versatile hunting load.

That is one awesome shooting load! Great shooting Mike. You have gotta do some bullet testing with the NF and AB's. Would love to compare them and see what they do.

I am kinda surprised the 200gr NF wasn't faster though. I would have thought the rings and 25gr's less weight would have upped your speed some. Scotty

I was first looking for accuracy before finding velocity and accuracy. I need to see if I could get them to shoot first. Expensive testing NF not sure I will since I have a perfect bullet and load for the velocities of my 358Win

Good point Mike. Besides, I can't see anything walking away from that 200 at almost 2600 anyhow. I was just wondering. Your loads are great. Need to find some TAC and do a little experimenting. Scotty

If you do use TAC, you need to use magnum primers and I have tried Fed 215, CCI250 and Rem 9 1/2M and the Rems have given best accuracy and velocity in my rifle.

Wow Mike, thats some great shooting, now you just need to find some critters :)

Mike,

That is some impressive results. Nice shooting and great speed from the 358 Win.

thanks gerry, I will find the critters. The AccuBond in this rifle has put game on the ground and now with my tweaking of this load I can reach a little farther out if need be.

JD, it has taken a lot of work over a long period of time, but I really believed since my rifle shoots so good that I could get like results from the AccuBond as I did the Sierra. I had to prepare my brass like as if I were going to shoot a match. I weighed my bullets and they all were the exact same weight down to one ten-thousands of a grain, while finding the perfect primer match for this load and getting the correct OAl., but it did pay off. This is a hammer of a load for the 358Win and is my for sure all around load for this rifle with out question.

Mike,
Great write-up, pics, and results, thanks! Were the 200 NF's and 225 AB's going the same velocity?

Yes they were. Now I could have pushed the 200gr NF a lot more but was looking for accuracy just to see if they would shoot.
