225GR Accubond - 358Win and TAC - AWESOME!!

Hey the wife is gone and I can say I caved to peer pressure. Or, I could buy a 358 and mess something of hers up like her flower beds, kind of spreads the anger over a greater area so it's not all directed at my purchase.

Obviously a man with considerable experience.

Bullet,
You have a keeper there buddy and great shooting too. The 225 AB out of my 35 Whelen is going 2677 fps with good accuracy. Love the 225 its a real thumper, folds whitetails like lightning hit em.

Mike what was this exact load?

It was the low end of the two numbers I sent you in an email about the AccuBond and Sierra 225gr bullets for the 358Win. I will pm you this exact load.

Mike,

That is one fantastic load you have there. You have NA covered out to 300 yds easy.
FWIW, I do know that a 225 gr PT at 2600 fps will shoot length wise through a 160 lb WT deer. I would think the 225 gr AB would do the same.

Most bullets that weigh 200grs or more and are moving 2500fps or faster will go in one side and out the other especially on broadsides or quartering shots. (Note I said most bullets)

Of course when this boy looked at us I use a faster bullet. This guy sure did make us pucker till it was over. Oh, I was about 50yds away using a 300 zoom when I took this picture, I put the camera down real quick as he started a slow move towards us. A 340Wby can do a number. Oh, I let this one go, he changed his mind and I changed mine.

The 358 caliber is just special  at least with the people on this forum.
That is a great load  this fall I believe there is going to be a nervous bunch of animals.

Blessings,
Dan

I found this little guy near by and look at the tree he is in so the Lion won't get him, pretty smart fellow.
