Looking alot like fall around here as well. Great pictures E

You are pretty old...
Guys, I try to look at it on the positive side. I've had a Heart Attack along with some other side issues and I move through the woods a lot slower. I find though that moving slow gives you the ability to see a lot more. I'll be 81 before too much longer but my brain keeps telling me I'm 25 and I believe that's a positive sign.

This morning I did 30 minutes on the rowing machine. Great workout and no impact on the feet, ankles, legs, just a good near-total-body workout. Typically I'll do that 4-5 times a week. Often I'll add pushups, crunches, a bit of lifting and some of my old self-defense exercises to the row, but I feel pretty good if I just get the rowing in. Then usually walk the dog 3 - 5 miles, either in town or in the nearby hills.

Dog and I will head for the hills in a bit and take the shotgun for another grouse walk. Have a few days until chukar and quail seasons open. :)

Getting older yes, but still feeling pretty strong. :)

Guy, I'm looking down the barrel at turning 75 this year and enjoyed every word you wrote. Like you, I also have had a heart attack. But mine was 26 years ago while out turkey hunting. After recovering from bypass surgery I've followed my doctor's instructions and medication regiment, and was able to go back to doing everything that I did before. Now the only thing slowing me down is age! The one thing that I have quit is getting up on my roof anymore, that is for a younger man. I must say that I've gotten smarter over the years about some things, I now use an ATV and trailer to bring a deer the 1/2 mile out of the swamp and don't drag them by hand anymore. But as long as God gives me the strength to continue I will be out in that swamp the opening day of our 9 day Wisconsin deer season.

my Mother turned 84 this past Friday . lives by herself . I was asking her what she's been doing since the weather warmed up , she's been raking gravel out of her front yard . she told me that she needs the exercise , and doesn't want my help . I think she's nothing but grit and gristle . :)

And like many her age, she'll outwork most of the men half her age, and just about all the men a quarter of her age!

I see my old aunt do this all the time too, as she is usually out on her yard or garden working when I go to work at 7 in the morning...and quite often still out there again when I come home after 5 in the evening. She'll only take help when it something too physical for her to do, or requires tools or equipment she doesn't have.
She is slowing down now that she has had a stroke and a heart attack in the last couple of years...but being out there is what is helping her to keep going!

I can only hope I am as strong (willed) at her age! (and am doing as well as many of you here)

Mom really does good . she could get a job if she wanted to .

I turned 74 yesterday and when my wife asked me what I wanted to do, I said, "Since you, and everyone else, won't let me take the chainsaw out in the woods by myself anymore, how about we go out and clear a few deer trails that lead to an area where I want to set-up a hunting stand?" She said, "OK".

With two us, we got a lot done. It was a great birthday.

Happy belated Birthday Dan!
Sue and I celebrated your birthday yesterday by finishing up our brush management cutting. We got 15 acres done in the past 6 weeks. I also cut a shooting lane into the huckleberry swamp.

Jeepers I’ll turn 70 in elk camp this year. First elk camp/with a tag was 1967, 58 elk seasons, a number of those years I hunted two states, couple times three states. I am the luckiest SOB I know. With a little additional luck I’ll get to do Oregon, Wyoming and Montana this year.
