After my heart attack last year lots of things are off the table for me now.

So I changed my priorities, heading to South Africa in 2026, and while the hard physical hunts are off the table now I can still find a way to get out so I do.

I haven't checked in here for a couple days. We've been busy. My bride of 53 years sprayed 50 gallons of RM43 today. I burned a couple slash piles and scraped off about a mile of road. It's that time of year to prepare for another wildfire season.

Here I go again. I'm working on 59 years with the same woman who has hung with me through the highs and lows. As Guy knows working on a PD really puts a strain on the marriage. She stuck by me and I'm very thankful.

Well, if we're talking about the one with whom we share life, my lady has stuck with me for going on 59 years from the Midwest to the East Coast, to the Gulf Coast, to Dallas, to the West Coast, back to Dallas, and on to the Pacific Coast of Canada. We finaally wound up in northern Canada. She's a gem, I'd say.
