What is the COL for the 338 Win with the 225gr Hornady Interbond bullet?

Thanks for any help!

I don't have any spec on the Hornady bullet but I would think that if loaded to the cannelure, it would be at or slightly under the COL SAAMI spec of 3.340".

I loaded up the 225 grain hornady this past summer. Here is the skinny. The cart. overall length in the win. model-70 I was working with was 3.420 ". I seated the bullet .025" deeper and went with that. The load turned out to shoot well in that particular rifle. Used IMR-4350, 71 grains. This is half a grain below nosler loading book number- 5 max. Used cci-250 primers and win. brass. Also if you seat this bullet all the way to the crimping cannular the cart overall length is right around the 3.330 to 3.340 area. Hope that helps a little. This is for the traditional interlock bullet in lieu of the the interbond.

I guess Mr. Alaska is hybernating in the north pole. He,ll probably show up in the spring.
