I put together a load with IMR 4831 and some 86 grain Nosler E-Tips.
First result was a bit disappointing.

Tried a bit of Reloader 17 and got the following. While not a stellar group, they are hitting close to where I want to be on paper and I hope further testing shows more of the same.

My favorite powder for 85/90 grain Etip and accubonds is imr 4350, give it a try

They ought to be terrific on game! So... mess with the seating depth and powder charge, see if a good load appears...

On the 90gr etip I found .030 off lands was the sweet spot. 2.700" in my rifle using H414/w760 at 42gr also gave best velocity over other powders. 250fps faster than max loads of H4350

I was thinking they might like more jump than .030. Thus my short OAL.
I will have to try some seated out a bit further.

For the first try with Reloader 17 I was happy to get them in the green.

250 fps is quite an increase in velocity! (y)

I seem to be doing decent between .050 and .1 with the few ETips I've been working with. I have to admit it does take some finagling but once you find where they wanna be they are slick little bullets.

I have had good results with IMR 7828ssc as well as Superformance. My rifle also loves H4350, but it is a very popular powder and hard to find at times. My advice would be to try a few different powders before tweaking seating depth but there are different methods to finding an accurate load.

Try IMR4350 and seat them.100" off the lands,

Just an FYI, Iv'e tried many common powders in my .243 Apex and by far, Hybrid 100v is the most accurate and gives the best velocity.

Keep us posted on how this load develops. I keep meaning to buy a few bags of those 86 gr Etips that SPS has on sale. Looks like a good bullet. Thanks. Bret

Got some loaded over IMR4451. Haven't tried them yet. Will Report back...
BTW: The ones I received from SPS were labeled "F-Tip". So was the box they came in.
The tips I thought were black are actually very, very, dark green. ???
