Anyone using H4350 with 90 AB in 243.

Reason I ask is Nosler Load Data states 43.5 is max with IMR4350.....

So i go to Hodgdon site and look at 90 grain bullet loads (think they use Speer SP)...

But on their site they state max at 1.5 grain higher with H4350 (44.5gr) than with IMR4350 (43gr),,, now I have found H4350 to be slightly slower in most uses than IMR4350 as well.

Now my go to has been 44 grain IMR4831 with 90 gr bullets (Nosler Manual best accuracy load).

Hodgdon says max with IMR4831 is 43.9 But with H4350 is 44.5 for 90 grainers?

Now, can H4350 be slower or near equal burn rate to IMR4831 in this application?

Not 90 gr. AB but use 42grs. H4350 with the 95gr. BT no problems and accurate in my Husqavarna .243 also using Fed.210GM primers.

Becareful trying to compare Nosler and Hodgdon-- many times apples and oranges! Paradoxically, you can use either if you stay with their receipe. I just worked up a "new" load for my 243win with 90gr ballistic tips and settled on 47.2gr H4831sc @ -.045 from the lands. Hodgdon max is 48.0gr compressed. I went there, but accuracy wasn't as good (.5MOA @ 200yd). No pressure signs, just opened up. Kevin.

I just thought it strange that this combo is the only one I think I have ever seen that listed more grains of H4350 than IMR4831 as max load in a manual. I figured it is probably a mistake in Hodgdons manual.

Remington 9 1/2 primer has less brisance than does Winchester Large Rifle, introducing a difference. Powders themselves give differing burn rates under differing conditions of compression and weight of the projectile. The difference in firing systems introduces differences. Thus, each load must be identical in every respect to make absolute comparisons. This is the reason each of us is responsible to ensure that the load we work with is safe for our firing condition.

Dang! Yes I missed that, so used to seeing WLR, CCI200, Fed 210 that blew right over my head.

43gr of H4350 with a 95gr Ballistic tip is really accurate in my Savage. 3100 fps from a 26" barrel. CCI BR2 primer. FWIW, I know you are asking about 90 grain bullets.
