Hi there, I am reloading for a 243 win, the shooter, my brother, wants to use the 100gr Partition. So, any pet loads out there??

Thanks, Hardpan

BTW, been a long time since i was on the forum. I hope that you are all doing well.

thanks. Fotis. I really like IMR 7828.
Appreciate the quick response. Now if we can get get a couple of cool days for some range work.

I'm at 46.5gr of 7828 and I use the short cut version. Also have 43gr H4350 with a 95gr Ballistic tip. 43gr IMR 3031 with a 55gr Ballistic Tip is a smoking varmint load for me as well.

Finally got to the range. The big gain was getting to a decent COAL, using 2.650. Shot 2 groups of 3 shots at 100 in 15 MPH wind. Both were cover-able with a quarter, measured 3/4 inch. Ended up with 45.5 7828. The owner, my brother, was really happy with that, so I am going to stop tinkering. Thanks again for the help and advice!

That’s a favorite of mine as well. Same goes for RL22. Lately I’ve been using a lot of RL26 and like it a lot in the 243.

I used IMR4350 as my go to powder in the 243 Win with 90-100 gr bullets. Always had excellent accuracy.

My new one is 50gr of H1000. Still dialing it in, may end up at 50.5gr. It's well under 1/2" for me already though with a 105gr bullet.

I should add that you won't find a charge that high in any book. Start at 45gr and work up in .5gr steps.
