Could someone run quickload for the 257 JDJ with 85 gr. and 100 gr. NBT bullets and Varget. Barrel 20" and need to hold pressures to around 45000 psi for a TC contender.

I have had a 12.75" pistol barrel for a while but haven't really worked with it much. I just got the 20" barrel.
It is a .225 Winchester Improved 40 deg. shoulder. The measurements I got were very close to the 6.5 jdj case measurements in the Nosler manual the manual measurements were very slightly smaller so it should be safe to start with those. If you don't have those let me know and I'll get them to you. I have fired cases from both te rifle and the pistol barrel and its (pistol) brass has a little less water volume at 45.1 filled to were it is mounded up at the top of the neck. It seams like I had read that is the volume measurement needed for QL. Also if it will help the load data that came with my pistol barrel has max loads of 100 gr. NBT with RE7 31.0 gr. at 2618 fps. AA2520 34.0 gr. at 2529 fps. It doesn't say but I assume that was in a 14" pistol barrel.
If you can the powders I would like to try are Varget, RE15, IMR4064 and on the fast end maybe H335 If its too much trouble to run them all Varget and RE15 would be great.

I have a 14" Contender barrel of unknown maker in 6mm on this same case. It looks just like the picture of the improved type shoulder 257 JDJ case but it is in 6mm. I use 30 grs Vargert with the 80 gr Sierra SSP bullet. I have a stash of them since they have been discontinued. I get 2850 fps and sub MOA accuracy. I killed a few deer with it but really do not like the results. The bullet does not exit on a rib cage shot inside 125 yards which is as far as I shot a deer with it. The deer run off a ways and do not leave much of a blood trail. The bullet wrecks the vitals but they run on it. The last few that I shot with it were neck shot, mostly when facing me and when they put their head down and I would shoot them where their neck met their body between the shoulders. Bang Flop. The problem with this barrel is it has a 1 in 12 twist and will not stabilize heaver bullets. I did pick up some 85 gr Nosler partitions but never got around to giving them a try. Moved on to the 30-30AI with 125 BT. Now that is a deer SMOKER of a round.
