I'm looking for load data for the Hornady 117gr. Interlock bullets. I'm shooting a 26" Mark V. Please include your O.A.L

Thanks in advance.

BB, Welcome to the forum. What powder are you thinking of using? Seventy point nine grains of RL25 will give you 3300 fps in a 26 inch barrel according to the Hornady manual.

I'm open to any powder. I was using RL 22 for 100 gr. Sierra Gamekings and jumping the bullets.

Hornady recommends RL25 as the best all-round powder. The maximum they list with RL22 is 64.8 grains, which gives 3200 fps with their 117 grain bullets.

Found IMR 7828SSC to be most consistent powder with 110, 115, and 120 grain bullets. Always 215 Magnum primers. Tried multiple lengths. One can not anywhere near the lands. Stay at factory recommended length - 3.17 to 3.18" inches OAL. Should get around 3300 FPS.

Welcome to the forum.

Shown below is he IMR list of loads for 7828 powder. These loads were supposedly, at one time, equivalent to Weatherby factory loaded ammunition, FWIW. I use 7828 in my .340 Weatherby and it gives high velocity at reasonable pressues.

Man, I know everytime I look at that it makes me like that 270 Weatherby. One of those in a Model 70 would be pretty cool I think. 150's at 3250 is a pretty awesome combo.

Love the ultralights in the 257 270 Bees

I recommend RL-25 with bullets seated at 3.15-3.17. Been the fastest most accurate powder in my gun with the heavy bullets. I use the Nosler 115 BST.
