Has anyone had any experience with a 257 Weatherby using 110 gr AB and RL22? I tried 120 gr PAR with RL25 in my 700 Remington CDL and it doesn't group at all. I was using WLRM primers.

It's not RL 22, but I'm getting some really good results with RL 25 and the 110 grain AccuBond. I'm shooting 0.70", 3 shot groups, at 100 yards with 74.0 grains of RL 25, at about 3,500 FPS.

I just returned from a shooting session at the range today, and I think I may have found a load that works for the 120 grain Partition. I'm using 69.4 grains of RL 25, at 3,200 FPS, and shooting right at 1".

I'm also getting really nice groups using 117 grain Sierra Pro-Hunters, with 68.7 grains of RL 25.

All three loads use Federal Gold Medal 215M primers. Hope this helps.

My loads that make me happy with my WBY Vanguard are:

110 gr. Nos. AccuBond OAL= 3.25"
CCI 250 Primers
IMR 7828sc (7828 works the same) 72.5 grs.
3450 fps 2900 fpe.

100 gr. Nos. Ballistic tips
76 grs. Rel. 25
CCI 250 priimers
3577 fps.

These are very accurate loads in my rifle. They may not be the fastest possible but when you zero at 300 yds. and shoot to 600 yds. accuracy counts. I know. I tried killing a deer with the cuncussion of a bullet going by really close but it didn't work.

That cracks me up !! Greg, all you would have had to done is ask... 8)

What loads did you try???

You must try different bullets also and different weights.

RL22 is a great powder for the 257 Bee as is IMR 7828

From gun writer John barnsness.
Ramshot magnum for the .257 weatherby. I have had great groups with 100 grain balistic tips. (I think the load is to fast to use that bullet on deer, but I would love to trry it on a coyote.).
Also did real well with a 100 grain hornady interlock.
But Sorry to all you nosler lovers. ( I love them too) But I have allways had great luck with the 100 grain barnes tripple shock in all the .257 caliber rifles I own.
That is 2 roberts 1 roberts AI and the .257 weatherby.
With my Remington sps, I get 3550 and about .50 at 100.
When I run out of T-shocks i will likly try the Partition.
Both my Roberts rifle like the 100 grain Partition real well, but I for what ever reason I need to stop them at about 2900 FPS to get acuracy
I can push the tripple shock with H-414 to 3100 and still group tight !
