Unless my math is off the 257 is bigger than the 6mm. Dont get me wrong I wouldnt advocate that either is the best, but what do I know. People supposedly elk hunt all the time with 7mm's and slow 30's. I'd be surprised if youd have any problem with a 115 Partition or AB. If you shoot it well, take a good shot and get within 250 yards you will have a dead Elk. But again Ive never shot an ELK, just gotta put in a plug for .25. CL
