260 Remington and 142 gr NABLR?

I have a 6.5 Creedmoor they shoot great in my gun! Nosler doesn't have any specifics for this bullet under the 6.5 Creedmoor they have that bullet lumped in with the 140 offerings, so I would do the same with your 260. My Creedmoor loves them with H 4350 your case being a tad bigger I would try H 4831 SC just work up slowly to max on the 140. My gun likes 40.5 grains of H 4350, no speed burner but accurate and the high BC one doesn't need blazing speed anyhow.

I would also look at IMR4451 and the new one 4955. Of course H4350 is also an outstanding powder for that combo as well. I've tried H4831SC in my 260 before with the 140 grain bullets and couldn't stuff enough of it in the case without being really compressed to achieve the velocity I would like to see. I could only fit about 46.5gr in the case and that was compressed.
I've had very good luck with both H4350 and IMR4451 in my 260. Haven't shot any of the 142's yet though. I've tried the 129 ABLR and that's a nice little bullet.

I shoot 142's in the creedmoor as well, but with R17. 41.7gr I think. I'm working on a 129gr load for the .260 as well, though I might scrap it and go heavier if the results don't improve with the temperature. The inaugural post bedding group was 2" at 100 yards. Hot weather load developed at 70* shot in 20*... Bad time. Need to try it at 70*.

Yes but it is listed under all other 140 grain bullets ,no separate testing to date on the 142 LR AB. Do not know how long the Sierra bullet is but the 142's are a really long bullet so bearing surface and pressure could be a tad higher so proceed with caution. Love the 142 in my creed and will Chrono them next time out to the range, but again not so worried about speed with that high BC, the accuracy is what I am looking for more than blazing speed. Still thinking 2670 or so we shall see.
Shoots 5, what are you looking for speed with a 142 grain bullet In a medium case like the 260? If your getting 2770 that would be outstanding out to 1,000 if accurate in your gun with that bullet design and BC.
If I am at 2,670 or so and using a bal program those numbers are very live able with my 30 MOA reticle and knowing this bullet will open up at speeds down to 1,300 FPS. Not that I will have but very few chances of taking a 1,000 yard shot on game anyhow. I want to increase my long range kill on coyotes hence the purchase of the 6.5, but my trusty 243 is still my weapon of choice for song dogs. Killed a good pile with it and it shoots dime groups all day long.
