I'll have to say I'm really starting to like the new .260. I made it to the western slope this weekend to go yote hunting. The first set-up we were about to give up on with the electronic call... we'd been sitting for about 15/20 min. My hunting buddy pulled his mouth call out and shortly after the first yote presented himself on the far side of the wash....145 yrds. I'd set myself up behind a huge flat rock that was basically a great shooting bench. The 95gr V-max hit head on in the center of the chest and that was it. ( suprisingly no damage to be seen on the hide ).. not that we keep them.
I ended up with two more after that that my buddy called in, both off hand and running... ( LUCKY ) !! The second @ about 50yds and major damage.. the 3rd @ about 75 yrds and even worse... didn't even take pics of the last one.
Had a great time.... saw lots of Mule Deer and several ok bulls.

Keep us informed of the good and the bad of your experience with your new 260. Needless to say I am following your experiences with more than a casual interest. A gunsmith is currently building a 260 for me. It should be ready in the not to distant future. Looking forward to getting it. Thanks. I am interested in your experiences with the rifle as well as the caliber.
