I've been working with my 270. It has a solid <1.5"@200yd 150 Ballistic Tip load. I swapped in the 150 Partition and played with seat depth.

I think I have some potential with this one. I have to verify it yet, but it looks promising.

The nice even triangle gives me a good feeling about it, and that charge has run the BT well over 2900, so there should be sufficient speed. I believe the PT's are running a touch slower, but no chrono at the moment to verify that suspicion.

This will be my second rifle for my elk hunt this fall I think. The other is my 300wsm that's shooting an established load moving a 180pt at 2975.

Results such as that would give me confidence. You're about set, Tom.

Very nice, the 270win with 150gr. partitions is more than adequate as a back up especially with 200 yard moa like yours .
I am looking forward to this fall when all the new hunting stories are posted with photographs I hope  .
Shoot straight, have fun and most of all be safe (y)

Blessings,
Dan

I think it'll work more than good. No elk will slip thru that sorta accuracy.
