I would like some help in developing an accurate load for the 140 accubonds in a 270 winchester, what is the maximum / minimum for Reloader 22 powder or what do you recommend for powder? (sorry but i dont want to "reduce loads by 10% that isnt accurate enough for me)

I have fired 100's of 270 rounds. 58.0 grains of RL22 or 58.0 grains of IMR 4831 push 130's out of my 15" barrel at 2800 fps. I would back up one grain from there for 140's.

The wife uses 58 gr of H4831 with both 140 gr ppartitions and ballistic tips. The load will shoot inch groups @ 200 yards when she does her part. It is not a max load but it is accurate. The speed is just under 2900 fps. Hope this helps.

I see both of you chose 4831-type powders, im not worried about max velocity so long as it groups great i will be satisfied. So would there be any powder room difference with the CT Failsafe bullets?

Thanks

Your pressures will vary with the fail safe, you will need to use the min load and work back up. Its design creates a bit more pressure.
