270 Winchester

Hello
I had similar results with Rx22 in my testing the 130gr BT.. I also have a 22" barrel.

Here is some other results;

Until I tried H-4831 I was thinking Rx22 was the way to go also..

Every barrel is unique as we know, but I would give H-4831 a try just to see if velocity and accuracy improves.

BTW, every factory 130gr load I have tested has chronographed in the 2900’s.. Here are two examples.
That Federal load contained 55.5grs of a ball powder.
I have some of those Federal 130gr loads as a backup 

All these were shot at 200 yards. I use a Oehler model 33 chronotach. Screens center 15' from the muzzle.

Without a doubt the H4831 tightened your groups considerably. It is an old standard for the 270, and you just proved that it still produces. Good work.

Rdub, great example. I like how you did that. Your right, H4831 was both speedy and accurate as heck in your rifle. 3100 is nothing to sneeze at in a 22" tube!

Well, I guess that is a nice group! :grin: You going to laminate it? Something like that is worthy of being carried.

Hard to beat H-4831 in the 270. I use alot of IMR-4831 as well. Both are real winners. I have more targets with AB,s and BT,s. I would have too many to carry if I laminated them all. It,s the bullets man. They are incredible.
