270 WSM....Accubond at 200 yds?

POP,
thats just what I do, was pretty proud of the 1350 but the rest were just put the "X" on them and squeeze, what I wanna do is smack one with an AccuBond at 75 yards at 3575 fps, just to see if it can make the trip, I'm sure it can because I've taken a couple at that range shooting a 140 BT and it exited on all 3 occasions which one was a 200 lb. black bear shot on the shoulder with my STW.

Nice shooting RR..I'd like to see how they hold up from my 270 WSM at 100yds and under, i'm sure they well perform flawlessly

Nice rigs and great shooting!
Why don't you try shooting onto water filled gallon milk jugs at 75 yds.
Results would be interesting. You might want to wear a rain coat .

I have hit big game with the 160 AB at 3000 fps and they held up beautifully but not 3500..

As a 270WSM owner using the 140AB, I can assure you, they will work great. Many a hogs and a couple of deer have felt the sting from this combo.

I shot a large bull elk in the neck at about 35-45 yards a few years back with my 270WSM with 140gr AccuBond CT's in Winchester Factory ammo. It worked well, and went all the way three leaving alot of damage, but missed the spine. Made a decent track job to put a finisher on him. I was very happy with the performance of the ABond. Near and far, I have no worries it will do the job I ask it too. Scotty

Thanks guys...I've taken Deer, Bear and Moose using 30-06, 7mm rem mag and 338 win mag, and always used premium bullets with great results. I look forward to this fall using the AB's as my choice of ammo, my rifle shoots them well..Thanks again...Lou

I took this cow elk last season in December. It was -33 deg. Celcius. 1 shot-200metres double lung pass thru and she reared over backwards dead. Reloads of 140gr Accubonds in my Tikka T3 LS 270WSM rifle. Setup about 1.5 hrs prior to the elk coming out of the timber.

My wife took her first deer-160 class mulie buck and a cow elk in 2004 and her first bull moose in 2005 on the last morning of the seaon-using HER T=ikka T3 LS 270WSM rifle with factory Winchester Supreme CT's 140gr Accubonds. And when she isnt using her rifle , her brother or dad loves it to!!

I even loaned this rifle to a friend that comes up from Maine to hunt with an Outfitter in the PEace Country (I have guided this gentleman in the past). E harvested a sweet whitetail last season. He loved this caliber/rifle so much, he bought one this summer for his hunting at home and his trip to Alberta.

To tell you the truth, I almost prefer hunting now with this rifle/caliber for my big game in Alberta- Still I like to use my Sako m75 rifles-maybe I just need to find a 270WSM in a Sako m75 GReywolf or SS model   [/img]

Enjoy the 140gr Accubonds. I know they work superbly.
