270 wsm and berger bullets

I just starting working on loads for my new 270 wsm and have tried the 140 berger hunting VLD.
I have only tried one charge with H4831 and it grouped at .97" at 100 yds. Im sure it will be a good bullet after figuring out a good powder/charge and seating depth.
I have RL-19, Accurate Magpro, H4831 and Ramshot Hunter so I have a lot of work to do.
I want to work up a good load for the 140 vld, 140 BT and 140 Acuubond and a couple 150gr bullets as well.
After that then maybe try to pick up some of the longer custom 277 bullets and try a long range load.
But anyways Im sure youll be able to get your rifle to shoot the 140 bergers well after some load work

Mike, I would imagine the Berger will shoot as well as any of the others and maybe better. My 270WSM has been pretty easy to load for. RL22, IMR7828 and MagPro have all worked excellent with the 130-150 grain bullets. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

helped a 16 yr old with some handloads for his 270 wsm, found 58 gr. of h4831sc to be the ticket. he later killed a nice 3x3 mulie at 434 yards this last season. cant seem to find the coal. sorry hope this helps. using 150 gr. bergers
