270wsm loads with 780 winchester powder

looking for load data for the 270wsm with 140 AccuBond and winchesters 780 powder. i have just started reloading because all i could find for this rifle here in arkansas was 130bt and they kill very well but they have been fragmenting on impact from 50 yards to 250 yards with out ever passing through.

Welcome to the forum. The 140 AB will be an excellent bullet from the 270 WSM. Try 67 grains of Supreme 780 behind the bullet for a velocity of about 3115. It should be just the ticket for that cartridge.

If not WS 780, try Retumbo.

I'm getting 3260-3300 ft/s with my reloads with 140gr Accubonds.

just finished cheecking out the new loads. 67 and 66.5 grains is really good. they were puting them at the same point of impact at 100 yards. which is the same as 130 bt factory. 1/2 groups. now just can.t wait for fall deer season to come back.

Nice, the 270WSM is about the best deer caliber available in my mind. It covers ALL deer and will take them from near to far without issue. That 140gr AccuBond is a good one. Scotty
