28 Nosler Pet Loads

I'm curious to know what other 28 Nosler owners / shooters consider to be their favourite loads ?
In our neck of the woods both bullets and available powder are in short supply and I would like to find a good accurate 160 gr. load without burning up either precious commodity.
Am not looking for a scorching hot load, just nicely accurate for Moose and Elk, who knows perhaps Sheep.
Any input and suggestions will be sincerely appreciated by this 70 yr. old gun nut !

I don't know of very many 28 Nosler's yet it would be interesting to hear more of how it performs. I do believe there are a couple of guys on here that have them.

Don't have one (yet :grin: ) but here's some powder choices.
Also a guy I know seems to like RL33 in his so I stuck that on the bottom.

Cartridge          : .28 Nosler
Bullet             : .284, 160, Nosler AccuBond 54932
Useable Case Capaci: 86.661 grain H2O = 5.627 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 3.340 inch = 84.84 mm

Sorry, I do not have one either.

I know that Mag Pro, H-1000 and IMR7828 are favourites in the 7 MM Rem Mag and STW's with 160 and heavier bullets. The 160 gr AB is my favourite in the STW.

Have you tried the factory ammo yet? If so; Which does your rifle prefer?

Can't help with 160gr loads but my 28 really likes RL33 the best. I shoot 175s and 195s.

Comparing to my experience with the 7 STW, I would bet IMR 7828 would get you around 3200fps and be very accurate. The case fill will be close to 100% with complete powder burn. RL33 will get you an extra 100fps but might not be quite as accurate. The load will be slightly compressed and burn will be a little less complete with some smoke evident.
