Jd338 I shoot the same load as you out of my Rem cdl except I load 56 grains, thinking of going to 57. My load gets consistant .75 " 100 yard groups, and it is the first load I loaded, so it might get better. I really like the combination: rifle/caliber/bullet; Rem cdl/280/140AB.

WPH,

Every Remington 700 I have ever seen has been able to do better than MOA. The 280 Rem is a fantastic round with great accuracy.
Try going up to 57.0 grs and seat you bullets .015-.020" off the lands.
Your current accuracy of .75" is good, but you should be able to get better. The 140 gr BT kills deer like lighting!

The rifle is pretty new to me and I have not shot it a lot but it is my favorite rifle. It fits great and especially for a 24" barrel rifle. I plan to stick with this bullet and use the rifle for deer sized game and fair weather, but not thick brush. My wife bought me the rifle for my birthday last year. I put a Leupold VXI 3-9x40 scope and Warne mounts on it. 280 rem is a great caliber.

First try today,56grs of RL-19,140 AB delivered just under 3/4" from my 22"Rem Mtn Rifle.Going to try my wife's rifle(the same!) tomorrow with the same load, and then bump up tp 57grs,no pressure signs so far! Thanks guys! Monashee

I had little luck w/ RL19 or either 4350s in my .280. When I went to slower powders things got better. 56grIMR4831, 57grH4831sc & 58.5grIMR7828 all work well under 140-145gr bullets w/ Fed. 210M in Norma brass. I am looking right at 3000fps from my 23"bbl. w/ accuracy at or under 1moa.
