Considering trying the 150 and 165 gr. Accubonds in this rifle. Any load data around so I don't have to slowly work my way up with 30/06 data? And what would I expect for upper end loads with these two bullets (generally speaking, of course, I know all rifles are different, etc and so forth).
Thanks.

Rick,

Starting and case fire forming loads for an AI are the MAX loads for the parent cartridge.
My 280 AI starting loads were MAX loads for the 280 Rem. The same would hold true for your 30-06 AI.
MAX loads are different with every rifle. My 280 AI is 3.5 grs over the listed max load and I still do not show any pressure signs. I settled on this load because accuracy is in the .2's.
Just remember to work up crefully, watching for pressure signs!

I got about 2900 fps with a 180 and 62 gr of RL22. I did notice however that in the lighter weights my rifle did not yield much advantage over the parent case.

Well, this one has a minimum chamber anyways - water capacity of a resized fired case is only 70 grains - so I don't expect a whole lot of difference in any case. I have heard numerous times that the Ackley's don't really do their best until you get into the heavier bullets, but this is the first one I've ever owned - and it was kind of unplanned that I chose an AI instead of vanilla 30-06 anyways.
