Hi All,

I have some brass all prepped and ready to run a few loads of the above combo.

ADI (powder manuf) list 53g (2680fps) as starting and 59g (2940fps) as max. I have noticed on the Nosler web page data the lower speeds are listed as more accurate (appreciate this may vary from rifle to rifle) but with 150g it seems to be the faster driven in more accurate.

Anyone out there have an experience with this powder/projectile combo?

Cheers,
Waldo

I just loaded up 10 x 165g accubonds in front of 56g AR2209, just need to wait a week or so for the range to re-open and give them a trot. COAL 3.340 just clears the magazine in the T3, I know function should rule over form but these rounds look seriously cool, if they shoot as good as they look they will be awesome.

Was out pre-season scouting Thursday just gone and spotted a real nice buck still in full velvet and a little growth to go, can't wait.

Cheers,
Waldo

Is 2209 equivalent to H4350? Just wondering?

Similar burn rates but not the same powder I believe????

Correction, I know believe H4350 and AR2209 are the same powder, oops.

I put together some starting to mid-level charges of H4350 with the 165 AB several years ago, and 56.0 gave what I would call acceptable accuracy, a little over an inch. But nothing great. I didn't have a chronograph at the time so I don't have any idea on speed.

I never got around to working up higher than that. However, I do have another box of those bullets lying around and that is on the agenda. Hopefully I can get to it next weekend when the weather is a little more conducive. Started out at -4 F this morning, headed for a high of 4 above. I'll post results when I have them.

Thanks Hegland, from what I have researched on the net the 57g to 57.5g seems to be a bit of a sweet spot for this combo, I stil have some time till the range re-opens so I will load a few at 57g to see if there is any discernable difference in accuracy.

-4F that is veeeeeery cooold, down here if we get to -4C we consider that cold!
Cheers,
Waldo
