I’m with Mike. If/when they shoot the Sciroccos are near my favorite bullet for hunting.

They can just be a little cantankerous sometimes. But when they shoot there isn’t a better bullet for hunting.

I run the 165 gr. Nosler Accubonds at 2880 FPS with 56.0 gr. W760. My rifle, a custom Mauser has a 24" barrel. Average accuracy runs about .75" on average, sometimes a bit less. W orked just fine on a cow elk.

thanks you here it is supposed to be temp sensitive ? right now it only power i can get

I used 760 in my 30-06s years ago before I knew there was a temperature sensitivity thing, lol. Then again was only hunting in 20-60 degrees most of the time. Dan.

I've used a ton of W760 (and H414) over the years. I've hunted it in temperatures ranging from -40C to +20C. I've never experienced a serious problem. I do verify ballistics at or near the temperature I'll hunt rather than merely grabbing a box of loaded ammunition and running out the door.

W760 and H414 are basically ball powder versions of IMR4350.

I believe the 54 grain charge is what comes standard in most factory loads incorporating 165 grain SP bullets.

I’ve used IMR 4350 for most of my .30-06 handloads over the years and have always had more than acceptable results.

Just gave my bullet shelf a little inventory, just seen 2 full boxes of Scirocco II 150's and 2 boxes of 140 Ballistic Tips. Thinking to give the Scirocco's 150's a try in the 7 Rem Mag soon for some fun. This rifle never tasted them before.

I've used Sciroccos for many years, and they always performed well for me. As Scott stated, they can be fussy. Nevertheless, when they work, they work very well.

Yeah, I’d advise to start them at least 50 back and make big jumps back. .150 isn’t too far sometimes.

Again, if they’d shoot for you they are very good.

These were pulled from a bull that was taken around 465 from a 7 Rem that shot them well at around 2950 start speed if I remember right.

Outstanding expansion and weight retention.
