30-375 Ruger?

Guys a friend and I were talking last night kicking around some wildcat ideas when we got to talking about a 30-375 ruger. Was wondering what a guy would have to do to a M70 action to make this work. The action is a stainless classic off of a 300 WM so it should be long and strong enough. the main thing that I was worried about was the feed rails. I remember reading a couple of post from some guys that had made 375 rugers out of other magnums but can't seem to find them.

I realize that there are about 7.8 millions other 30 cals out there but were is the fun in that :grin:. What do you think that a 30-375 ruger would be comparable to? I was kind of thinking between the 300 WM and the 300RUM or Weatherby.

I was thinking the .30 Newton.

Jim is dead on. The 30Newton is just about a ballistic twin to what you are proposing. Check out this article on the 375Ruger, which mentions the Newton round for comparison:
