300 H&H Magnum

Gentlemen........

May I suggest everyone take a deep breath...... a sip of good whisky...... and ignore the low-life maggot amongst us.....

I served 23 years protecting the Right of Free Speech of creatures like him...... so let him rant.

I reserve the right to ignore the self serving pile of bovine fecal matter.

Fotis...... can you lock this thread up......

Stick a fork in me...... I'm done with it.

PS...... Ralp.... note my signature line and close your blow hole.

Ralph ( not your real name, but i wont out you )

Aleena will not be responding to you.

However, I will.

She would give up every dime of whatever she has and all her guns to have her parents and grandparents back.

She graduated from college with a masters degree and is very helpful to me in our business today. A little side note that some know about. a few years ago my brother had surgery and he made his living as a truck driver ( 18 wheels ). She went to truck driving school got her license and helped drive his truck so as to maintain his business until he was back on his feet.

You should only wish that you could keep up with her in the mountains. I would love to see you try to keep up with Lori, Scottys wife and aleena in the mountains or anywhere.

So there is no misunderstanding. Rifles were given to people who did not ask for them. It was a gift of pure generosity with no strings attached. After that happen you explained your position and felt you were as deserving as those who received them and proceeded to ask for a rifle. Your request was refused. I refused your request, Aleena merely delivered the message to you. Now lets touch on this inner city children statement of yours. At least be honest, you have children that you felt deserved more than you could or would give them, so you ask aleena for christmas gifts for them. Again I refused, Aleena was merely the messenger.

Trust me the 300 Holland and Holland with a 200 grain bullet will flatten an Elk or Moose, I have done so!

Nobody is saying the Mauser action is bad, I merely prefer the pre 64 and those rifles made after 2007. Simply a matter of choice.

I will not and Aleena will not respond to any posts you make going forward

Jerry

Gee, here I am working in education for about 15 years and not liking this redistribution idea. I guess I missed that day at indoctrination camp?

I have a 300H&H. It shoots a load that just printed a 0.28" group at 100 yards with a 180gr Nosler Partition going near to or at 3000fps. Are you seriously telling that is unsuitable for an elk or moose? C'mon, dude. Elk have been killed with a 30-40 Krag, which can't get within the same zip code as those ballistics. A member here posted pics of a hunter they accompanied who took an elk with a 6mm Remington. A 300H&H can't do it? Are you for friggin' real?

Just on the basis of that tripe, you are showing that you're a waste of electrons on this board. The class warfare is just the cherry on top of the crap sundae you made.

You want wealth redistributed? That's fine. You may believe that is proper. In kind, though, I reserve the right to believe you're the south-facing end of a northbound donkey. Deal?

Actually, I do not think anybody should respond to any more of your threads. I pick my friends for the depth of their character not the size of their purse. and Aleena has always been friendly, correct and nice to me in any ways that a friend would be. I care alot more about that then whether or where she got her money.

We have a homosexual, redistributionist President in this country who has cost me personally much money from my 401-k, my real estate and potentially more money from my Medicare benefits than I certainly can afford. It seems that you support this redistibutionist way of deciding who has money and who does not. However this system is flawed, it should be exposed for what it is and will not be accepted by the majority of Americans.

Our President is showing his true colors with sexually provocative ads showing young girls talking about sexual relations. This and the way Obama lied to, treated and looked down on Governor Romney in the last debate tells me miles more about Barack's character or lack of it, then his clever lies do. I think that you have lost your way and are on the wrong forum. Go away before someone exposes you for who you really are!

Good to "see" ya Charlie! I thought I logged onto the Cabela's forum for a minute. I had to double check the top of the page to make sure this was Nosler. That being said...

I guess this is still about the "gift rifles" on the Cabela's forum? I can not believe that subject has this much lasting power and that it caused so much agnst and resentment. Somebody needs to GROW UP and find a life that is not emerged in some fantasy over a gift!

Hi Robert, how are you? Sorry that this topic has emerged again! Maybe somebody needs to grow up and get a life? About time if you ask me?

Charlie this is reloadmike78 from "the other place" and I totally agree with you Sir. Time to act your age at this point!

Hi Mike, I can't believe that Aleena is still getting this trash after all this time! As far as I am concerned, she has done nothing to deserve all of this nonsense. Plus she is a nice lady who does not nearly need all of this grief from some social misfit! It is past time to end this for once and for all!

Fotis, how did you get thrown under the bus here ? This is the second person that is upset with you hunting antelope legally --

Jerry and Aleena. I always like this saying. "You cant have an intelligent argument with an unarmed man" and this guy is definitely unarmed, as he has zero intelligence. Personally I cant imagine emailing someone ( or pm someone ) and ask them to buy me something.

A teacher who likes the socialist system, I wonder if he is from Wi also. this is not a slam at Wi or Wi members across the board, but some will understand my point.

Sorry to see he brought this s--- to this forum

Just a comment here for Mortis. A standard Brno Mauser 98 action will have 12 tpi V threads just like all 98's. Actually it is a metric thread but 12 tpi is almost identical. Use a thread gauge on the receiver threads if you want to check this out. A standard length 98 action will be too short for the .300 H&H cartridge. Removing metal behind the bottom locking lug to make room for the conversion is not recommended. The .300 H&H is a grand old cartridge. Ruger recently made a run of No. 1's in .300 H&H and Remington made their 700 Classic in that chambering back in 1983. I own an old Remington 721 .300 H&H with that funky old Pachmayr swing-over scope mount. With Nosler partitions I would not hesitate to use the rifle on any north american game animal. Cheers!

The Model 70 rifle is the same action length as the Mauser and if you look at the action rings and the cuts needed in these rings for converting the Model 70, they are the same needed for the Mauser action to convert it to the .300 H&H, .375 H&H. In both cases, you need a longer magazine box and different inletting for the magazine box, floorplate assembly.

Winchester does not make a long action for the H&H cartridges, they just cut the rings to suit and lengthen the magazines. The same with CZ and their .375 H&H actions. You do not need a magnum length action until you go up to the .416 Rigby (.378 Weatherby size action).

Charlie, if your still around. my grandfather has a 416 Rigby custom made with a pre 64 action and I thought he told me that the bolt throw was long enough but he had to lengthen the magazine and a couple other things, but he is not here and I dont remember exactly what he told me.

I also prefer the pre 64 or pre 64 post 2008 LOL. I have my eyes on a new Model 70 in the 375, but my husband is also talking about a new shotgun and since my 375 is still in good shape I think we will get the shotgun first.

Charlie, I also saw your post about the difference in the actions in reference to the gas release and I certainly agree with you, good point.--and the safety, another good point.

RalpW, you need to come up with a new act, all of us who have been around for several years know who you are, and my only response is that I agree with meatmachinesmans post. You are spot on Robert. As you know I also like your tag line Robert LOL

Let me ask you one simple question. How many children in a hospital or school or in an intercity housing development could you have helped with the 1000 s of dollars you spent just to shot a marco polo ?

You know what Ralph?

Ever since you've been here you seem like you do have a bone to pick, contributing leptons of information, if that. Seems you're so vitriolic and I do not think this forum is for you.

So that said good bye.

YH, I have heard that a few .416 Rigby's have been made from pre 64 Model 70's but it it stretching the action to the limit. I can't say that but I know placing a .589 cartridge rim in that action does not leave much for extraction, plus the cartridge is .150 longer than the COL for the .375 H&H. Too me, it seems too much cartridge for too little but I know people have done it. I have never seen one and probably am cautious enough to want a Weatherby Mark V action for that conversion, just for safety margin. But I have to give your Grandfather credit for being bold, none-the-less. Good trick!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for being my on-line buddies. Every once in a while, someone shows up who brings into sharp focus just exactly how good we have it, just by being miserable people. Aleena... heck, just about any of you'se guys (and gals) here... I'd gladly buy the first round of drinks or cup of coffee, just to be able to sit face to face with kindred spirits...

Muchos gracias, mi amigos...
