300 Weatherby 200 grain PT

I can remember many years ago letting a buddy of mine shoot my 300, and it hit him hard with a scope bite. He wanted nothing to do with that rifle ever again.

+1 on the Fotis load .

I put a few 200 gr partitions together with 82.0 gr IMR7828 . three shots into 1 inch at 100 yards . I'll see what happens next time out . if it repeats , I'll play a little with seating depth .

Still working on this. Seems like I am getting close. These were shot on a windy, cold day down here. Will reload and retest. With 2 going into the same hole, I am thinking it has to be close..

I'd say you're knocking on the door of perfection. Looking good. (y)

Thanks Mike. It is coming around pretty well. It is hard to stay on point when you have fellas like Fotis knocking out great stuff with 180 AB's as well.. Serious rifle ADD..

Looking real good brother! (y) ..It's nice when things come together pal :)

Looking good. Says something about determination and perserverance. It must be very satisfying for you.

Looking good Scott, keep at it buddy. I know you will conquer it soon.

Thanks fellas. Pretty sure the next time out will show something. This rifle has put me through my paces a little.

The 300 has shaped up very well. 200 PT's, Norma cases, CCI250's, 83 grains of 7828SSC.. Very happy when I saw this. Going to load up a few more of these to verify the load.

You have every reason to be happy with that load. It looks as if it was a good day shooting for you.

That looks really good and it is hard to beat the 200 gr PT as an all around load in a big 300.

I'd just leave those 210 grainers alone and shoot these!

Yeah, I am not messing with them anymore. They sit on the shelf. I am sure someone will be able to use them sometime, just not me right now..

Gerry, this load goes right around 3050. Pretty sure that sorta load would be about as versatile as it comes for hunting. Alot of confidence in the 200 moving out that quick.
