getting ready handload a Ruger 1 in 300 win Mag..........with 168 TSX.......what is the best powder to start with?

IMR 4350, RL 19, RL 22 or IMR 4831.

FC Brass
Fed 215GM Primers

Reloader 22 typically does very, very well in the .300 and 7mm mags. It sure has for me!

I get my best loads with RL 22. Have not tried RL25 but have been told it is good as well, especially for the 200 and 220gr bullets.

My best load is......... 1" groups @200 yards 3000 fps

Remington Brass
74.5gr RL22
Winchester Mag Primer
180gr Nosler AccuBond

Note: I am shooting a custom made barrel with very tight chamber tolerances. Therefore, I tend to reach max pressure at 1.5 to 2 gr's below the listed max in most manuals.

Well just bought a pound of RL 22 and some 190 BTSP Hornady and Fed 215GM primers......I have some Fed Nickle Brass.

Any suggestions on a good load.........I thought about keeping it around 2900 FPS.

The load I posted above should work for the 190's. NOTE: I quit using mag primers in my 300 loads. Seems that I get a lot better accuracy with the standard LRP's both Federal and Winchester.

I settled on in my 300 Win Mag in a Ruger # 1.

Reloader 22 @ 76.0
180gr Norma SP and Nosler Part
Fed 215 Match
FC Nickle Case

75.5 grs RL22, 180gr NP or AB, FED215 and kill lots of animals. My Ruger was incrediblw with this load.
