Shot the 300 WSM over the weekend at deer camp with a 180 gr PT with 65 gr of IMR-4350 with a Fed 215 LRM primer. Can't wait to try em on game!

Definitely grouping well for you. That will tackle about anything in NA. Good luck on your hunt.

Pssst! She's hittin' a little low...

Nice looking group. 100 yards? That 180 cal Partition is a game killing bullet for sure!

Dang, I try to NEVER torch off a round in or near camp, or my hunting area, unless I'm shooting game.

Used to "unload" my muzzle loader by firing into a hillside at the end of the hunting day though. Once in a great while I'll blast a coyote, if I think hunting conditions are so good that I won't scare game away.

We usually wait till an hour or two before we leave for home if we shoot any guns while we're over there. I split a box of these with a buddy of mine who wanted to try em in his 300 Win mag, the target above was shot at from a 100 yards, I wanted to shoot em a few times with this load to make sure the POI didn't change before I adjusted the scope.

First time I used a 180 Nosler Partition was mid 1980's from a .300 Win Mag, a Ruger 77. Wild hog at modest range. One shot, through the heart. Very quick kill. I was impressed.

I think the .30 cal, 180 gr, was the first Nosler Partition ever made.

I have seen the results (AGAIN) of a 300 Win Mag and 180 PT on another elk.... Doesn't get much better in my opinion.

Leads me to believe that someone had a successful hunt in Oregon. Report?
