Very impressive. Congratulations to Ken Brucklacher!

My 300Wby which I posted on this forum shoots a three shot group that measured .098" using the 180gr TSX at 100 yards. I also posted on this forum my load development of a three shot group with that same load of 1/2" at 200yds. The 300Wby is an accurate well design hard hitting cartridge and of course he had the platform that nursed the best out of the 300Wby mag cartridge.

This isn't the first time it's been noted that some of the radiused shoulder weatherby cartridges really shoot. I find it funny that the recipe that defines a wby is meant for speed and defies alot of the conventional things done to get accuracy like seating close to the lands, using a shorter cartridge case as opposed to a full length magnum and not quite having the 1.5-1 neck length/neck angle ratio to minimize irregular gas flow and instead use the venturi effect.
It's quite facinating, watching applied physics and theroies get tested in real world use. Unfortunately, my shooting skills are not consistent past 5 or 600 yds, so it isn't nearly as marked as when somebody like this shoots.

This article was a good read, thanks.

Don't ya love it? No case prep and didn't even chronograph the loads...

Yes, absolutely amazing and I do love it!!!!!!!

Maybe when I matchprep brass (to a limited degree), maybe I should leave well enough alone!!

What an amazing performance, WOW!!

I was looking at the blue print for the cartridge and there was no radius on either end of the shoulder. So I got some out and there is a radius . Some special brass here or a misprint? Newysan
